We want you to love your Follkee purchase. If something isn’t right, please reach out—we’re here to help.
Thoughtful Shopping, Less Waste
Every shipment creates packaging waste and transport emissions. That’s why we encourage thoughtful purchases—check measurements, read product details, and ask us questions before ordering. Choosing a natural item you’ll love and care for over time helps reduce unnecessary shipping and waste.

How to Start a Return
Email contact@follkee.com with your order number and the items you wish to return or exchange. Please contact us before shipping so we can provide return instructions and the correct address.
- Full-price items: Request a return within 30 days of delivery for a refund or exchange.
- Sale items: Request a return within 14 days of delivery for store credit or exchange only.
- Promotional codes: Using a welcome or newsletter discount code does not change an item’s return eligibility. Regularly priced items purchased with these codes follow our full-price return policy.
Please ship your return within 14 days of receiving our return instructions.
Item Condition
Returned items must be unused, unwashed, and unaltered, with original tags and packaging. They must be free of stains, odors, pet hair, and signs of use.
You may briefly try slippers on indoors on a clean, dry surface to check the fit. Soles and wool must remain clean and show no signs of wear.
Return Shipping Costs
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, including when returning an item for an exchange.
If you choose a Follkee return label, the following fee will be deducted from your refund or store credit:
- Slippers, shoes, or socks: $9.99
- Sheepskin rugs or blankets: $19.99
For exchanges, the return-label fee is paid separately. Please contact us for return-label costs for other products or packages containing multiple product categories.
You may arrange and pay for your own tracked return shipping instead. If you do, no Follkee return-label fee applies.
Original shipping charges are nonrefundable for change-of-mind returns.
Exchanges
For the first exchange of an eligible full-price item, Follkee covers standard shipping of the replacement item to you. You are responsible for shipping the original item back.
Sale items may be exchanged within the 14-day return window, with return and replacement shipping paid by the customer.
All exchanges are subject to availability. Contact us before returning your item so we can help arrange the exchange.
Custom Orders, Clearance & Final Sale
The following are excluded from change-of-mind returns and exchanges:
- Personalized items and pieces made to your specific measurements or requirements.
- Clearance items and products clearly marked “Final Sale” before purchase.
- Gift cards.
A standard item is not considered custom simply because it is handmade or because you selected an available size or color.
These exclusions do not affect assistance for incorrect, damaged, or defective items.
Natural Materials & Individual Character
Natural variations in wool texture, curl, color, and shape are part of what makes each sheepskin unique. Measurements are approximate, as described on the product page.
If you feel your item differs materially from its description or photographs, please contact us so we can review it with you.
Incorrect, Damaged, or Defective Items
Please inspect your order after delivery. If you receive an incorrect, damaged, or defective item, email contact@follkee.com promptly with your order number, a description of the issue, and photos where possible.
We’ll work with you to resolve the problem and cover necessary return and replacement shipping costs when the issue is our responsibility.
Refunds & Store Credit
Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll email you the outcome.
Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 10 business days, less any applicable return-label fee. Your bank or card provider may need additional time to post the refund.
Eligible sale-item returns will receive store credit, less any applicable return-label fee.
Orders Outside the United States
The shipping fees and exchange-shipping benefit above apply to U.S. orders only. For international return instructions and costs, please contact contact@follkee.com.
This policy does not limit your rights under applicable consumer law, including statutory cancellation rights where they apply.

About Our Product
What is medical-grade sheepskin?
Relugan sheepskin tanning is a chrome-free tanning process that results in washable, water-tolerant sheepskins. In this method we use Relugan® GT-50, which gives the sheepskin a distinctive golden color and makes it soft, supple, and durable. These sheepskins are commonly used for medical applications, pet bedding, and sheepskin medical accessories.
What product is good for pressure relief and nights sweats - hyperhidrosis?
Relugan medical sheepskins are valued for their antiallergic and antiperspirant properties, making them popular among families with small children and seniors. The natural fibers help wick away moisture and circulate air, providing comfort and breathability—a great product to prevent pressure sores and improve sleep due to night sweats.
How are your sheepskin tanned?
Our tanning methods have been refined over generations, ensuring the highest quality sheepskin. We use plant-based tanning agents, responsibly manufactured in Italy and Poland, adhering to strict European regulations that require all tanning agents to be biodegradable and environmentally safe.
The process begins with careful hand selection of the hides, followed by washing them in a water solution rich in tannins. Next, bio-based lactic acid is applied to strengthen the wool. To soften both the hide and the fur, we use vegetable extract-based syntan, which is derived from plant-based sources rather than synthetic chemicals.
We are committed to sustainability and do not use chromium or heavy metals at any stage. Our medical-grade sheepskin undergoes a specialized plant-based tanning process known as Relugan.
Where is the sheepskin and wool sourced from?
Each sheepskin is designated for a specific purpose and undergoes a meticulous hand-picking process to be crafted into beautiful products. Merino sheepskins come from Belgium and Germany, Icelandic sheepskins are sourced from Scandinavia, and American Jacob sheepskins originate in the USA.

Our Natural Sustainable Products are made by crafters in Poland - Podhale, and sheepskin rugs are crafted in Chicago US.

Who founded Follkee and why?
We are Bart and Natalia, founders of Follkee— a name inspired by the folkloric tradition of the word 'folks.' We established Follkee in Chicago in 2020, continuing the long-standing heritage we were raised with as highlanders. Our roots trace back to the Tatra Mountains in Galicia—now Southern Poland, near Zakopane—where our grandfathers began crafting sustainable sheepskin for clothing. Deeply connected to nature, we decided to honor that tradition through Follkee, a company dedicated to harmony with the environment and supporting our planet. Our culture and heritage are deeply rooted in sheep herding, and growing up surrounded by the beauty of nature and animals, we learned that they provide not only sustenance but also love and joy🐑
